High Protein Hemp Energy Balls

These bite-sized balls are perfect for a quick energy boost on busy days or as a pre-workout snack. 

Hemp seeds are a fantastic source of plant-based protein and contain all essential amino acids, plus omega fatty acids – ours are some of the freshest and tastiest seeds you’ll find anywhere in the world!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats (gluten-free if necessary)
  • 1/2 cup Forest Super Foods Tasmanian Hemp Seeds
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or any nut butter of your choice
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (for a low-sugar option, you can use a sugar-free sweetener like stevia or monk fruit syrup)
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates, soaked in hot water for 10 minutes and drained
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional mix-ins: chopped nuts, dried fruits, cocoa powder, cinnamon, shredded coconut

Method:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until a thick, sticky dough forms.
  2. Roll the mixture into balls and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Optional: Roll in shredded coconut or cocoa powder for extra flavour.
